Syrian F Open rig

Saw this yesterday and just had to wonder Why? Surely if it was a good idea we would be seeing these deployed by full time armies.
I would not want to have to bug out too quick with that one.
would have thought the firing signature would give your position away. If not bring the roof down around your ears.
The scope looks very low powered, and would the elevation of the barrel not block the line of site through the scope?

Ovenpaa, take note of the tripod, lessons to be learnt there...

I hope thats a long eye relief scope he has there-can you imagine the scope kiss that sucker would give you if not. One new scope/one new operator per round.

Looks to me as though the thing is sagging either side of the mount.

I used to have one of these, it was great fun to shoot on century at Bisley but I had to get rid of it, because it wouldn't fit in my cabinet. ;)

I sold mine because I couldn't find a long enough cleaning rod!!!!!!
Plus my borescope couldn't reach down the length of the barrel to check for coppering!!!!!
