Hi folks,
I'm a fairly recent ticket holder and fairly recent shooter - as a civvy that is, I'm ex-army which I've since learnt meant that I could pull a trigger but not hit anything! Amazing the difference in my shooting ability now that I have to pay for it myself :-)
Thus far since taking up shooting outside the mob, I've gotten into shooting clays, practical shotgun and mini rifle.
As I've only had my ticket since November I've only bought 1 toy - A Walther replica H&K MP5A4 (the one without the fake can, and with a fixed stock):
It's a great little shooter, cycles just about anything (although when flipping between HV and subs it's best to adust the bolt speed/tension) - for eg I shot some mini rifle today, 200 rnds - no misfeeds / failures, same yesterday. It's a bit awkward to clean but for £550 new I can't complain.
Next up is a Beretta 1301 for PSG, and a mates 682 Sporter for clay bashing.
I think I've got a good idea where the full bore opportunities are along the M62 (Diggle, Huddersfield etc)but it seems PSG up here is limited although I've just been to check Thurnscoe out today as they're only 16 miles from me.
Cheers
Nick
