Best club to join for F/TR?

My friend and I are looking to shoot in some F/TR comps. Neither of us have done any F class stuff. We have the appropriate kit. We need a club which has members who compete in said discipline and can run us through it. We also want reasonably priced and regular long range practice. We currently shoot with the NRASC, The OSM (not sure we will continue there as quite costly). Any suggestions peeps?

The Dorset Riflemen spring to mind and they shoot at Bisley quite often.

On the competition front the Phoenix will be along soon and will have 4/5/600 and 8/9/1000 yard F Class comps on the Saturday and Sunday. It is possible to shoot both short and long range on the day however it can be quite tiring with only a 60 minute break for lunch. Regardless, it is well worth shooting at the Phoenix and I doubt you will find a cheaper entry for an F Class competition.

Shoot The Bisley Clubs Easter Meeting. This year it is being run by the City Rifle Club. They should be following the format of previous years and run F class alongside TR and having a competition briefing session for newbies.

Hi Paul.

We have a shoot this weekend at 300/600.

I will PM you John Seager's phone number (Club Sec) so you can give him a ring, I am sure there will be spare slots.

Its usually £10 for club members, £15 for guests.

This is an F class shoot so will only be F/Open and F/TR.

We shoot to the usual rules etc, but every club F class shoot is a club comp.

Don't worry, someone will help you out.
