What is your preferred primer? Did you test multiple types before settling on one? Cases are Lapua standard.

Hi Paul,
I just use CCI large rifle in my .308 and the bullets get to 1000 no testing they are what I use in all my 7.62/.308's others may know more info. I also use Lapua brass.

Federal 210, 210Gm, Remington 91/2, CCI Br 2, Muron, they all do the job and after extensive testing they are all as good as each other. I have yet to find one primer that is any better or worse than another, save of course S&B primers which I would not use even if you gave them to me.

I've used Remington 9 1/2 magnum, Remington 9 1/2 standard and Federal 210 match and had good results with all of them.
Good luck,
Gaz

I have always found the Fed 210M work well with .308 however the CCI BR is a tried and tested alternative.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll run some tests and post my results if I notice any difference. I'm doubting I will see anything of much note between them.

well if anyone does offer you some S&B send them my way, I'm working my way through a 1000 and no problems at all.

S&B primers are OK in in S&B cases...no others....so not much use for anything approaching a match load....I only use them in .303"s.
For my long range accuracy loads I have always used Remington 91/2s...and that is over 30 years worth..never encountered a problem.
