A recent Quote from Dromia....Sums up exactly my opinion on owning and shooting Firearms....He Said.. :good:

"All my shooting pleasure comes from old multi-owned rifles cost a few hundred pounds a piece, not new, not shiny, not stainless, not scoped, not black, not plastic, not tactical, not customised, not bespoke, not expensive but they give me much joy and happiness to shoot and plenty of challenges to tackle."

However!!! I recently watched this Video of Hickok 45 having fun with a Colt AR10 and I've got to say, if I had the money I'd be tempted to go black, however, I'll make do with the bargain BRNO 308 B/A I've just bought when my variation comes through, for the moment. razz

Mind you, I recently got a wee shot of a straight pull M14.... tongueout

For the record, I would have proper AR in a heart beat as they are, like the AK, a classic historic design proven in combat. I also have a great interest in gas operated designs

In days gone by I had Garands, M1s, SLRs etc.etc throgh my hands and on the range and fine firearms they were too, but yet again we were robbed by the country.

However the neutered single shot look a likes we get over here are average straight pulls at best. So for me no thanks but for those of you that they make happy good luck to you I say.

I have to say that at heart I am a bolt rifle man, doesn't have to new or old or expensive or cheap. I shoot for the love of shooting and nothing else, I get as much shooting pleasure from my AR-15's as I do from my bolt action rifles. Also when it comes to reloading for any of them, doesn't matter what the rifle is, we are always searching for and trying out new loads for all of them. All part of the fun.

I believe it's a case of whatever floats your boat, if it makes you happy then crack on.
