Arrrgggg - Am going to run out of lube & have this weekend only to prep a pile of cases.

What else can I use?

Margarine?
Hair conditioner?
Shampoo?

Cases can be washed & dried afterwards - any ideas to a generally available household lube material ...........

VO5 or Shockwaves hair gel works very nicely or any hair gel really, about £2 to £3 at Superdrug etc. and you only need to use a tiny bit :good:

Hair wax is just that, wax...brylcream does one but it is called wax.

Erm, not sure what else can be used tbh.

So I've been told, I don't have enough hair to buy any to try it though!. Apparently Alberto VO5 Hair Dressing works as well!.

For future use just make your own, about 12% liquid lanolin and 88% Isopropanol (99% or better!) both available off Ebay

Cheap hair wax. My son who knows about such things picked up my Imperial sizing wax one day, prodded and smelt it and said it was the same as his hair wax at 99p a tin. I keep meaning to try the concept out one day however I still have enough Imperial sizing wax to last another 30 years...

Loreal Kids Hair Conditioner seems to work rather well! :goodjob: put a calibrated 'dollop' in a curry tray, pour in 25 or so cases, lid & shake till slimy, size & drop in bucket & wash & blow dry & trim as required.

Shoot yer heart out Vidal Sassoon.

500 done 1000 to go .......

.......... then the 5000 RG! I paid my lad 1p a case to deprime sign01
