Yeah at face value, but, the Home Secretary can ban anything he considers "specifically dangerous" without needing an act of parliament IIRC

So, you may get away with it for a while before it got banned but I suspect what would happen is a load of sour faced farts (old or otherwise) would turn their noses up at you on whatever club range you're on and / or shop you to the fun police as soon as their crappy beige turd box trundles out the car park spilling Werther's originals all over the tartan travel rug in the back :lol:

As a comparison, have you ever seen an assisted opening pocket knife? At first look as to how they operate, immediately people think "flick knife", which we all know are illegal. However, their operation is different to what is legislated against. They remain on sale and have been for 10 years or so.

Sim's logic is good..pity that there WILL be someone who WILL shop you for using one - says it all about the future of UK shooting.

I think you'd be on shakey ground before the fun Police even got near you. With a slide-fire stock you keep your finger on the trigger the whole time, you fire the gun by moving your supporting hand forward on the foreguard. As your finger remains in contact with the trigger the whole time i think the FSS or whoever makes S1/S5 judgement calls these days wouldn't have much trouble saying these were S5

No, the contact you make is with the stock. The stock makes contact with the trigger. Recoil them moves the trigger away from the stock so it can reset. The forward pressure you excert then brings the trigger back into contact with the stock again for a separate press of the trigger.....

Remember s5 States two or more missiles successively discharged without repeated pressure on the trigger....

Midway UK have the AR 15 slide fire stock. It is £500 or so.

Well clearly Midway UK don't think it's S5 and neither does SO18 based at Heathrow (who would have cleared it had it been flagged) assuming it was air cargo'd of course.
