Cartridge Resizing

This may have been covered before but.
I was reading an article on changing the neck size of a cartridge case from say 308/7.62 to 7 mm/08.
I understand that some changes are very apparent because of the bullet being used but is there a specific way that the resized case should be marked. Due diligence on the part of the reloaded to make sure the correct caliber bullet is used in the correct caliber rifle.
