The retired dustman who saved all of those photo's is part of a BBC documentary that covers photo's taken from soldiers in the trenches during WW1. It's on iplayer still (ends tomorrow) and is definitely worth a watch.

More WW1 pictures from the Daily mail, including one of Rudyard Kipling's son Jack, who was killed at the battle of Loos in 1915.
