Remington 700 - SPS Varmint - .22-250

Been in storage with an RFD for about 18 months.

Very little use before then...carried more than shot.

Barrel threaded - will need to check on the thread type as cannot remember which it is - and this is the longer 26" barrel model.
The bore needs a little work to polish out some old fouling; aside from this the gun would be an easy 9/10 for condition (one or two gunsafe/handling marks on the "Tupperware" factory stock - this is the wide based vented type) - but most shooters drop these stocks on purchase of an SPS for a more rigid option.
Great fox rifle & also suitable for some of the smaller species of deer (where legal).

This is the standard Rem. 700 Short Action, and being .22-250 it has the .308 bolt face; so may be an ideal base to use for a conversion into another caliber.

Scope/rings/bases have already been promised to another buyer, so the rifle will come plain.
NOTE: This rifle DOES have an X-Mark-Pro trigger: it IS also one of the serial number range that is due to have the free warranty repair done by Riflecraft; not had any instructions from them yet on when to send it in. IF I get word in the next few days I'll send it off, if not it'd down to buyers choice as to sending the gun off for the free upgrade or ditching the XMP & fitting an after-market trigger unit.

No pics yet, I may be able to get some tomorrow when I'm next at the RFDs

Current RRP on these is in the £700-£900 region, depending on whether the RFD has older stock or some of the newer RemingtonUK stock.

As it is with an RFD, I can very quickly have this sent to your preferred RFD, for the sum total of £475.

(This asking price is based on the current price of an un-barreled Rem 700 S/A receiver & bolt - which I have seen being offered for £500.)

UPDATE/EDIT to:

Remington 700 SPS Varmint, in .22-250.

This is the longer, heavy 26" barrel, model. Barrel thread is 5/8x18.
The bore is in great condition with no external issues or problems with the barrel/receiver. Been in storage for about 18 months, but only had very little use before then...carried more than shot...hence the gun is an easy 9/10 for condition, if not 9.5+/10 (one or two gunsafe/handling marks on the wide based/vented "Tupperware" factory stock, but most shooters ditch these stocks on purchase of an SPS for a more rigid option).
From memory this has had less than 100rds through it...at most!

Great fox rifle & also suitable for some of the smaller species of deer (where legal).

This is a standard Rem. 700 (Short Action), and being .22-250 has the .308 bolt face; so may be an ideal base to use for a conversion project into another calibre.

No rings included, but I may sell the bases with it if you are interested.

NOTE: This rifle DOES have an X-Mark-Pro trigger: it IS also one of the serial number range that is due to have the FREE WARRANTY REPAIR done by Riflecraft; not had any instructions from them yet on when to send it in.
IF I get word in the next few days I'll send it off to Riflecraft, if not it'd down to buyers choice as to sending the gun off for the free upgrade or ditching the XMP & fitting a better after-market trigger unit.

Current R.R.P. on these is in the £700-£900 region, depending on whether the RFD has older stock or some of the newer RemingtonUK stock.

As this is with an R.F.D., I can very quickly have this sent to your preferred R.F.D., for the asking price...no extra charges on top for delivery.

(This price is based on the current price of an un-barreled Rem 700 S/A receiver & bolt - which I have seen being offered for £500.)
