The police have said its not linked to anything dodgy and I can have it back,
I bought some pellets for it at a local shop, the shopkeeper reckons its dated from between 1919 and 1923 ... im not convinced ... he offered me £75 on the spot ... for that money I think im gonna keep hold of it !!

I found it in my back garden about a month ago .. Just laying on the grass .. I reported it to the police and they've just said I can have it back !

It would be the equivalent to section 5 here, the police definitely would not be giving it back.

That IS an old one, mine had plastic grips on it.

I've just shot it at a 2ltr plastic pop bottle full of water (lid on) from about 2m ... It didn't penetrate it just bounced off !

Not ideal having things thrown into your back garden, but on the up side it's a nice iconic piece...it'd look nice cleaned up in a bookcase or on a shelf...

Btw: if you don't want to clean it up yourself, I'll give you 80 quid for it... razz
