Well, I hope the NRA has had a rash of paper entries for the Imperial this year! Only 435 online entries which seems a tad low! Mind you, my Grand Agg+ entry at £648 did make my eyes water a bit!

This year late entry fees (10%) don't apply until the end of this month (end of May in previous years) - many will be holding off until the last minute.

Aye, I'm waiting for as close to payday as I can manage - and even then I'm only intending to enter the Weekend Agg.

It's too expensive to do more.

Even shooting just the Weekend Agg plus the Friday warmup matches comes to over £300, once you factor in meeting membership at £57 for non-NRA members. No wonder entries are falling year on year. £26 for 12 rounds (or 10 if you convert the sighters) is extremely steep, even allowing for the silly £1/round prices.

Oh well. Looks like I might not be taking so much time off work after all!

The 8x CSR matches, falling plates match and Methuen cover 5 days of shooting and costs £140, approx round count 400, under £30 a day plus ammo is pretty good value.

How much?! I remember back in the day it was more like £12. What's the justification for that level of gouging?

It would make one think that for just £15.00 more you get the other 356 days of the year.

It's set at a rate to try and encourage people to take out annual membership. New members do get a reduction for their first years membership of £46.00 instead of £72.00. If you are under 21 you get free membership for the first three years.
Bear in mind that annual membership of £72.00 is only £6 per month, so less than 2 pints of premium beer if you live in London. Considering what you get for full membership it is actually a good deal.My local club if I rejoined has annual subs of £155 per year. You need to put it all into context.

CSR Entries just topped 112 competitors, with approx 547 individual match entries not including the Falling Plate and Methuen Team Matches that take place Saturday evening and on the Sunday. To shoot the whole lot costs £138 in individual entry fees (a little more if not an NRA member).
