Hi all,
Does anyone have experience of cci segmented rounds or can anyone suggest a "low ricochet" alternative to hollow point subs .. Is there a round that behaves more like a .17hmr .. A frangible round ??

Morning,

someone from our club used the CCI segmented rounds for bunny bashing and he said they were ricocheting all over the place. He was sighting in and the round hit the sun harderned ground and ricocheted.

All this is hearsay, I have no first hand experience of using CCI Segmented or HPs as I don't bunny bash.

I tried them as they were advertised as safer since they fragment on impact.

Which is true, but all the fragments ricocheted!

.22lr are notorious for ricochets, if you haven`t got a safe backdrop don`t use them.

This is the first rule of shooting
