Took part in the match held last Sunday down at Butt Zero at Bisley. Was a lot of fun, well organised and reasonably well attended (22 shooters).

I appreciate that LBP's are not to everyones taste but for those of us still keen on practical pistol, events like this are a joy.

To give a flavour of the type of stages encountered follow the link below.

Well done the NRA and James Harris, hope its not too long till the next one. :goodjob:

P.S. The K22 worked like a dream, just a shame I didn't...

That looks a lot of fun tongueout

...could folk shoot it with LBRs as well?

As long as the LBR is a .22 yes, but I'm guessing most folk will have .357 or .44 but couldn't hurt to ask?

Sorry, but it's hardly a 45ACP, 38 Super or 9x21.
I know it's miserable to say so but it is NEVER going to match the real thing, is it?

There may be a range reason why it's .22 only...

...I was just asking as I'm considering an LBR at some point in the future, and it's interesting to see pistol courses of fire like that being run at Bisley...

...even .22 only, it still looks good.

Having shot 'proper' pistol matches earlier this year, and this one last week; if you dismiss it because they're not proper pistols then you're really missing out! It was great fun, but I had a shocker! I guess 4 hours sleep and wedding beer the night before wasn't a good mix!

Can't wait for the next one :)

It was a great match and good to be home with practical as for the LBP's as soon as that beep sounds you don't notice the wire and long barrel

I was thinking that too, coat hangers, barrel lengths and calibre aside the enjoyment for me was comparible to any 'fullbore' match I've shot.

LBP's maybe all we're allowed but the people and the process remains the same. If more of these matches can be organised and to that standard, I think they'll become as popular if not more so than PSG?
