Variation question

I have to send my FAC back to change my club and take off the .22 semi auto and .223 which were both sold, so I thought it was a good time to change variations.
I'm going to change .44 underlever for 7.62x39 straight pull and maybe change .22 for 303 bolt action.
Now calibre differences elude me, do I actually write.
7.62x39 .......straight pull, or should I leave that out
303 bolt action.
Also got me thinking, my FAC states .223 does that also mean 5.56 or not ?
Regards.

I was told not to describe the action. eg: not Straight Pull or Bolt Action but RIFLE
Not sure on x39 but I had to put 7.62x54 for my mosin.

Yeah suppose that makes sense, I was convinced when I had my visit, I stated that I wanted semi and bolt .22 but looking at the FAC it states 2 slots for .22 with no action described.

I just ask for example.
One 7.62x39 rifled gun.
One .223/5.56 rifled gun and let them sort it out.

Ask for a 7.62x39 rifle........everyone should have an AK

I have only ever asked for main calibre, (say 8mm), rifle and have sorted the finer points of precise calibre and action out after, which seems to have worked out thus far.
It would seem it depends upon how 'particular' your local force is

To be fair with the variations I have put in for i have already known exactly what I wanted to buy so specified the action type.

Thanks for replies, I think I'll just list calibers and not action, then hopefully there's no confusion :)

Well I took the plunge to ask yesterday about the progress of my FAC variation, and the lady on the other end of the phone was more than pleased to inform me that it was delivered on the 1st, but had not been delt with yet, to my horror
.
After a few mumbles from myself, and saying that I needed it today to view a rifle and was told, why I was going to view, when the variation hadn't been authorised. I said that I already had two slots where I was changing one, so would automatically be able to purchase if FAC was in my possession.
The lady's next reply was that she's very busy but would personally attend to it herself, and she was true to her word, she completed the variation and it arrived this morning. Everything was completed as written.
1x 22
1x 5.56/223
1x 7.62/39
1x .303
1x 38/357
And all ammunition amounts sorted as well, for once sometimes a call does work..

Nice Typo
You chosen between a 7.62 &/or a 39mm yet then?
IF that's what's written, then using the same symbol to split the 5.56 & 223 and the 38 & 357, DOES then mean you've got a slot for a 39mm
NICE bigteeth
I fancy a WW2 2-pounder. Maybe Dromia has the reloading data for one?
