Hello from Whitby

Afternoon all. New member here from Whitby just saying hello :). I currently shoot smallbore in Whitby and am looking to try my hand at some other disciplines and calibres/action types.

Things that are great about Whitby
  • The smallbore club is nice and friendly and has been very welcoming
The fish and chips is alright
    Countryside is nice
Things that are rubbish about Whitby
  • It seems to be a trip of about 3000 miles if you want to shoot anything other than smallbore 25m prone. Seriously. I think I've found the UK's non-shooting epicentre.
My research so far has thrown up very limited shooting opportunities in the area, but I guess they're not always easy to find. Oh for some practical shooting clubs, or fullbore, or pistol-calibre carbines...

Anyway, Hello :)

I'm pretty sure Tees Valley Target Sports do fullbore rifle and PSG. N.B. Normal travel time for a PSG club is 1-2hrs

Welcome aboard by the way!

Thanks all :)

Some stuff to check out, cheers for the tips. I must admit I had previously tried to find out about Pickering but drew a blank, and Bridlington which seems to have vanished off the face of the Earth (the club, not the place...)

:)
