Hi everyone.
I'm contemplating picking up one of these. I'm not expecting a target rifle, I have the VTR for that. Just after a decent fun gun that's a bit different.
Does anyone have practical experience of either of these, are they any good, reliable etc?
Can't decide between the 2 either. If you could use standard AK furniture that would sway things but I can't figure out if you can :-(
Cheers!

As far as I'm aware standard AK furniture doesn't fit the GSG, for a more authentic looking .22 AK have a look at the Chiappa AK-22.My club shop got a GSG MP-40 in for a customer the other week and I got to handle it and was pretty impressed with it, its a pretty good reproduction of a real MP-40 despite the slightly longer barrel to comply with the legal oal.One thing I would have preferred to see on it would be a stamped steel mag rather than a plastic one.

I can't seem to find any of the other .22 AKs in stock, apart from the old Armi Jager ones

Ever thought of the GSG ST44? I know and RFD that has the one used in the shooting sports magazine, but if you get a GSG AK I also know he has a load of new mags for them.

I really like the st44 but it's over £150 more than either of the other 2 :-(
I don't suppose he's selling it for under £400?

The StG.44 is a full metal beast (except the mags, which given the all-up unloaded weight is no bad thing) and it's incredibly good fun. BrunelTR on here owns one and I'm hugely jealous! You really do get what you pay for.
