I had a marlin. Based on the 336 action .444
In fact, look closely up the barrel, and you could see where they'd honed the rifling from the 444 barrel.

I had a 3 shot. 410 winchester and always regret selling it....the rossi looks nice enough,I think edgar bros bring em in...but the hull cartridge company is also sticking in my mind for some reason....I've got a space for a fac. 410 and if I can find one under 4-500 I might actually buy one....

Badger, out of interest, what will you use it for? target shooting at a range with solid slug? PSG? or clay pidgeon :)

i like these but the pattern plate test were a little dissapointing and surely they would be too tight choke for solids ?

S1 yes so you'd need a 'good reason'. They might fall foul the same way those Safir T14 (.410 AR style shotgun) in that many forces argue theres no 'good reason' to have one 8-)

There is a 410 Marlin in one of the Holts auctions coming up.
There is also a 357 marlin in the same auction.
Had a look at Badgers link and realised I have shot at one of those ranges back in 1998.
I had a friend who lived in Minneapolis and we went there a couple of times.

Good thinking! TSG doesn't have the same minimum power restrictions of PSG so that could do it :good:

Correct, thats why i opened the TP1 and MT events up to Shotguns , and not just Shotguns of more than 20g.

There are a number of clubs who have ranges where .410 slug could be used but 12g might exceed energy limits. It made sense to allow members of those clubs to participate with what they can, rather than exclude them.
