ISSC MK22 > SCAR 17 H project

hi
decided to not sell the issc mk22 and instead turn it into a winter project.
the mk22 is a scar clone but there a several parts of it that dont look like a proper scar and look quite toyish, so have decided to try and
get it to look like a scar as much as i can.
the first part im starting on is the lower. it is very bulky and made as a one piece moulded part, with no option to change the grip.
i started to look at airsoft lowers and after measuring up, realised that the mk22 lower is so bulky that it is a fair bit longer than a scar 16 lower, and nearer the scar 17 h, so that is the route im taking. this means i will have to make new mag internals, which will fit inside the scar h outer shell. i have managed to get the mk22 trigger mech inside the H lower, and secure. it is still quite a sqeeze length wise, even in the H lower, but its in. the only problem now is the selector which sits lower than in the scar H, so will have to fill the old hole and make a new one. other parts that need looking at are the stock, the front sight/gas block and some external parts, but i think it is doable..........hopefully :)
and this is the inspired look that im aiming for.
