It's official, I'm a reloader. Churned out 200 357mag rounds with Dodgyrog's finest boolits on top.

Have you worked out the individual round cost? Is it going to be a big saving or are you after more accuracy or perhaps lighter recoil?

At the moment, I'm reloading for convenience as ammo is hard to come by in Scotland.

I am using a "club" load for the same rifle as the club gun. I am going to shoot the first 400 just to see how they are. Then I'm going to buy new brass and start experimenting for accuracy and then I'll work out the cost. I've decided I'm going to Bisley next year so I have 12 months to get it right but I'm already thinking about a Marlins or SGC 9mm.

If you think that you might be interested in a Marlin keep an eye on Gun Trader, if one comes up under £400 and you have cash in your pocket, seriously consider it.
With the poor $ TO £ and no sign of things changing anytime soon, I would predict that prices will either continue to be around the £400 + mark, or start to rise.

Do some research on the 9mm. I love the idea but they are a reasonably big out lay - magazines are almost prohibitively expensive and he does not do any deals. I need 6 for the comps I do and at over £50 each, that puts the gun in the £2000 mark!
I am also speaking to too many people that are not 100% happy with their guns, certainly enough for me to put that idea on hold for a while, until any teething issues get ironed out.

With regards to brass, do you know to mark your cases with a unique design?
Most guys use a colour marker on the base so that at the end of the shoot they know who's brass is who's,

I too love the idea of the 9mm but am also hearing rumours about them including build times running far past the quoted 3 months.

I've got one of those with an octagonal barrel (24"). Really accurate and a pleasure to shoot.

Yeah, I might trade the mouse gun for a 44. Love the octagonal barrel but is it not quite heavy?

What distance are you shooting these guns at must be at least 500yds to warrant a scope.
