+1 to Peter,
Dealt with him a few years ago when my Dad bought a Calico M100 off of him, when we called up saying we wanted it and were happy to place a deposit on it and told him we were coming from Bristol he offered to meet us half way at the manufacturing site near Royal Wootton Bassett. It's in an old RAF base, he was kind enough to give us an hour and half long tour of his facility and a talk on barrel manufacturing and general gun building.

Thats where I asked him if I could meet him next time to look around his nuclear bunker/barrel making factory and have a look around and the answer was of course more than happy too. He's a real knowegable person and very helpful.

This is interesting. Before Christmas I did a post here re his AL42s and the general opinion here was that he had ceased trading? At the time I e mailed him re current prices etc but never received a reply. Confusing.

I must have missed that post. Peter was certainly trading up to Christmas and I very much doubt he has any plans to change this in 2015.

I have just re read that thread and cannot see where the consensus was that they had ceased trading.

You made an assumption that they weren't when it was posted that they were no longer making the AL42 and that the website seemed out of date. You were told in the thread that they were still trading. You were the only one to think/suggest they had ceased to trade.

Out of such things internet rumours are born.

Apologies for my bad wording. Should have been more "my impression" due to lack of response from my mail to them.

All I say is I sent a message via the web site and never got a reply so bit the bullet and phoned them and got Peter's wife Anne on the phone Peter was out and she was very helpful and gave me Peter's email address and hey presto we were in contact and Peter was very helpful.
On visiting Harrowby Street and looking at the rifles he builds, I believe has stopped building the .223 due to finding it hard to source parts to build with, the 3 he had there was going to Aussie, I believe there is going to be a new model this year but dont quote me on that its just the impression I got. So if you phone them you will get someone to answer your question.
