I am after a piece of well seasoned Walnut if anyone has such a thing on the shelf, the dimensions of the piece I need are around 1.5" x 0.75" x 15" and it does not need to be well figured, just dry and straight.

I've got a piece i think, it's been inside for the last 10years. However it's probably only 6", if it's useful you're welcome to it

I am wading through eBlag right now. A 6" piece is going to be a tad too short however thank you for the offer JS569

A solid Walnut chopping board would work however I prefer European as opposed to American stuff and it needs to be in one bit as opposed to blocks.

Are there any kitchen worktop suppliers or fitters near you? The size you're after is comfortably within one of the staves that the walnut worktops are normally formed from and offcuts will abound...

I am sorted now, thanks all that that replied. I have a nice length of what looks like English Walnut and matches the rest of the rifle very nicely. Now I need to pluck up the courage to start cutting and shaping it...
