And the tumbler goes Rrrrrrrrrrr and stuff

130 cases in the tumbler happily tumbling away. Something we seldom do in this house but I though they looked like they were ready for more than just a neck clean. So watch out anyone near us as you are going to be dazzled :D

I was prepping brass for the Viking today, she is on her 5th firing of the 22-6.5X47 Laps and as normal I checked the case length, this brass has grown by .001" in 5 firings and still builds with a typical bullet run out of .0005" to .0015" so worst case they will be under two thou run out. Anyone that wants to build a 1200 yard rifle that is forgiving on brass, easy to load and light to fire could do a lot worse than a 22-6.5X47. I still cannot understand why it is not more widely used over here.

What's wrong with the 22.250?

Evidently its a bugger to get it shooting accurately.

Someone on here was moaning on about it recently. ;)

You are right Dromia, I did read a thread about someone who could not get a 22-250 to shoot whereas the little 22-6.5X47 with 80 grain SMK's produced a .190MOA group within half a dozen shots and that was still in the load development stage. Total development time at the range was sub 15 minutes.

Ah heavier boolits/bullets.
Strangely my pal ask me to make him some more 22.250's as the last ones he had from me were very accurate in both his rifles. Go figure! It must be my rifles eh? 36gr Viht 140 behind 55rg Hornady soft points.
