M&P 15-22 performance center

Hi guys,

I got my FAC through last week :-) and first on the list is a 15-22.

I'm can't decide between getting the MOE model or the performance center one.

I know the PC one has a match chamber, 2 stage trigger and fluted 18" barrel but I'm wondering whether I should save my money and use it to (eventually) customise an MOE one...

I plan to use the rifle for plinking, mini rifle and (possibly) 2 gun practical competitions.

Any feedback from owners of either model would be much appreciated...

Thanks,

Saul.

Not worth the extra, standard 15-22 is very good out of the box :good:

I'd go for the shortened version from Riflecraft... has a 12" barrel :)

What, did they shorten a PC version or the standard?

I have the shortened MOE version from Riflecraft, excellent practical shooting rifle. The PC version is good, but for those fast mini-rifle stages at WNSC I'd say a single stage trigger and a shorter barrel is the way forward.

Sim, they shortened a standard version...

+1 to a single stage trigger over a 2 stage for mini-rifle and multi-gun.

I'm saving for one, but the children insist on being fed and wearing shoes to school in the winter...!

I've got both.

The PC version seems to feel better built to me (better stock, better grip) but agree a single stage trigger is better. Rifle craft are converting my non pc version with 12" single stage trigger and built in supressor so will compare it with the PC version and it's longer barrell.

Thanks guys, this is really useful info.

I did have a look at one of the 12" rifles at the shooting show - it seemed a bit short for me - probably something to do with my "Mr Tickle" arms... :-P

That makes a lot of sense about having a single stage trigger for this type of shooting.

Is the MOE furniture much better than the standard stuff? Also what about the sights? I'm assuming that a red dot is the way to go rather than sticking with iron sights...

A lot depends on the type of stages, I started with a red dot but typically found that it masked too much of the sight picture (eotech) at the ultra short stuff and was less useful at the longer (25m) stuff so I swapped out for pst 1-4 and a 45 angle red dot which I set for the really short stuff.
