Hi,
I would say that you may find both options a bit too powerful for practical shooting for rimfire.
Personally I have a Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 1.75 - 5 x 32mm on my 15-22 and I haven't felt a need to go above bowl in a practical shooting situation and having the option to turn the magnification down is useful if you are moving down range as part of the course of fire.
Obviously your mileage may vary depending on the situation and course of fire.
The one change I would make is the reticule, I would prefer to have a mildot or graduate reticule as currently I have to estimate drops.

Matt,
I have had a RimFire before with a Sighton 3-7 on it, and found with my old eyes I needed just a little more magnification. So was looking at having the scope set under the max to maintain image quality and easy target acquisition.
Thanks for your input

The most flexible magnification scope I have is a 2.5-10, the 3-9 might be best option. Only you can tell, it's you that's looking through the optic.

It depends on what sort of mini rifle are you shooting?
Pistol type matches with big targets up close but shot with a rifle? then neither of those as too much magnification.
Or minature rifle matches with small targets to simulate distance? then either would do the job.
I am now experimenting with the new C-more 1-10 power scope, gives me the best of both worlds

+1 on that.... for Mini Rifle comps, where speed is more important that pure accuracy, a red-dot is your best option....
As long as you have it mounted fairly low, theres no worries where it will shoot, you'll be pretty spot (within an inch or 2) on any distance up to 25m

Hi Brookers,
Thanks for the info on the C-More looks a great sight. I have just purchased this morning the C-More 2-20x44 as it has a side mounted AO adjustment - should be a good allround scope for many options
