UK: Wiltshire police taser knife attacker

WILTSHIRE — Surveillance video captured an officer facing off with a knife-wielding suspect attempting to rob a supermarket.
According to ABC News, 22-year-old James Lewis entered the supermarket February 1 and attempted to grab the store’s cashier.
The Western Daily Press reports officers were quick to respond because the suspect’s father called police prior to the suspect arriving at the shop.

Local to me. Bloody good result!
Two brave uniform coppers keeping him at bay till the Taser unit arrived.
Assailants dad had tipped them off.
Left me thinking that in the USA or Europe they would have shot him. Who would have blamed them?
Really good call for all.

That sort of says it all for me, the fact they had to wait for someone with a taser. It just shows how prepared the country is for a terrorist attack, mass shooting in a mall or similar its a joke.
Left me thinking that in the USA or Europe they would have shot him. Who would have blamed them?
Not necessary most armed officers have tasers as well.

Ordnance the French have over 300k armed police. They flooded Paris with more armed officers than we have in England, Wales and Northern Ireland during the recent incident.
It took over 20 minutes to get an ARV to Lee Rigby's killers.
Nah we are all safe!

True and that give them plenty of time and opportunity to murder other civilians if they had wanted to. They might not be so lucky next time.
