Where to buy a Martini carbine?

A mate is desperate to get himself a Martini Carbine. He's tall, but not of heavy frame, so I hope he intends to look at it more than to shoot it (too much), for his shoulder's sake.....

He lives over in N Ireland and is keen to come over and I've offered to take him around to look at as many as we can, with a view to buying (- and we have the RFD stuff sorted).

I know the NEC Arms Fair is on the 21st June but are there any dealers who we could call with, pref south of the Midlands, that may have a decent selection of rifles - carbines would be great - but I'm after a rifle as well to be the big brother to my Martini Enfield. (I'm in touch with Neil Aspinshaw although he's away at the minute.)

Any suggestions would be appreciated, so thanks in advance :)

Any ideas please? Zulu Neil doesn't have any and Gun Trader is a bit quiet too.

Would the NEC exhibition have a few? Or at least, more than at the Bisley Arms Fairs?

Thanks in advance :)

Any calibre but obsolete prob preferred and will pay what it takes for a good example within reason. I guess up to around £1000-1200.

But he'd like to be able to look at a selection - if this would be possible - so maybe the arms fair is the best idea.

Does anyone know if the NEC 21st Jun arms fair is a bigger version of the Bisley ones ie the same type of stuff on display/for sale?

Thanks for your responses.

Thanks Simon, only just seen your post

Yep, Martini Cavalry or Artillery Carbine. Saw a cracking one at the B'ham Arms fair but it had been restored. Nice indeed but £1000 we thought was too much for a restored one.

Still looking ;)
