If you need to throw it, you're already f.u.cked.

in the old days, throwing an axe was just a way of distracting the guy while you sank a bodkin in his belly !

I can't remember the number of feckin' knives I've lost playing Davy Crockett in the woods.

The tip of my Swiss Army Knife is still in the dining hall floorboards at the college I attended in my youth, I stopped throwing knives after that.
I think I'd be more effective with a "Rock in a Sock"!

How to throw a knife or axe? Don't.
Some people take what they see in the movies too literally.

"Sorry mate, it bounced off, would you mind standing still while I get my knife back, then stand a bit closer to you while I throw it at you again?"
I can't see that cutting it in a confrontation ;-)

Although its been a while and I'm out of practise...... I was rather good at knife throwing. My favourites are my Gil Hibben full size throwers..... as used by Steven Seagal in the movie Under Siege. It is also a useful general purpose knife too.

I was always taught that if you really wanted to stick a knife in someone you shouldn't let them see it first!
