Case tumbler

Got an old case tumbler you don't use/want to upgrade from? I'm looking for one at a reasonable price. Condition not hugely important so long as it actually, y'know, tumbles.

thought about an ultrasonic bath, can pick them up from Maplins fairly cheap.

Are they any good for case cleaning? Surely you need some mechanical interaction to physically remove baked-on carbon deposits?

Personally found them to be pretty good, I use a seaclean mix (also from Maplins) and it's cleaned all my cases (even my really dirt 7.5x54MAS cases) very well, I've found I've occasionally had give the primer pocket a quick scrap with a cleaning tool, but not that often.

It's a little faff, especially having to oven dry but, I do find it to be effective.

you don't have to oven dry, i just turn mine upside down and leave overnight.

but i love the ultrasonic. i use measureing jugs with soloution in, placed in tap water within the bath. it gets them clean enough for me. could probably get it better if i tuned it, but as i say, good enough
