Some of the examples were made using de-milled genuine rifle parts, but as you say some are air soft shells. Obviously the former would be frowned upon, the latter less so.

They have been either brought or built over here before. I'm pretty sure that someone actually made one here with 6 10/22's about 4 years back!

With regard to the de-milled receivers, surely if its just a 'shroud' for a 10/22 to sit in, and the calibre is different to Section 5 calibre, it wouldn't be an issue??
