Hi all, and thanks for letting me join the forum!

I am a train driver from West Cumbria, interested in several forms of shooting! Game, Target, Reloading to name a few. I rent a house on a farm where I am allowed to shoot, so it's very handy.
I shoot air rifles, rifles, and shotgun, and I am just starting out in reloading for my 22-250, but at the moment my license is away for a variation, due to a faulty moderator, so I am waiting to collect the new mod from the shop!

I have a Weihrauch HW60 in .22lr, a CZ in .17hmr and a Howa 1500 in 22-250

I have a good few loads all made up for the Howa to run tests on but don't want to start without the mod.

I hope to make good use of the forum! Cheers

David

Welcome to the forum, I would expect the 1500 chambered in 22-250 to be a very capable rifle :good:

Yes thanks! For what could be called a 'budget rifle' it does seem to work well for the uses I put it too.

Mounted on it is a Burris laser scope which I got in a sale due to there being a new model out. I do like it, but some time would like to invest in something really nice - Nightforce, S&B, Zeiss etc. I have the scope zeroed at 200 yards and seem to have the ballistic drop number about right for Hornady Superformance ammo. However I will have to adjust this number when I find the optimum load for the rifle.
At the moment I am getting into reloading, and have quite a few test loads made ready to fire. Unfortunately the moderator blew a hole in a weak point on its outer body, and I am waiting for my license to be returned from it's variation so that I can collect the new mod.

I am making some metal 'gong' type targets at the moment which I plan to put at 300, 400 and 500 yard range to test out the scope and ammo. Pics to follow when I am ready!
