Yes I do, many people don't bother nitrating though with success others use cigarette papers.

And how are you closening/finishing other end?-in my case from 209 primer, nitro conversion.I was thinking for a long time how to speed up reloading my revolver.JB
Re: Muzzle loading with nitrated paper pistol cartridges
Find a suitable pen or dowel thats just a little smaller than caliber
Wrap the cigarette paper into a tube - with the ball/bullet at one end - allowing the paper to extend past the projectile
Seal the tube, then twist the spare paper at the projectile end (a la boiled sweet)
Add the powder to the open tube
Seal the tube by folding or twisting the excess paper
To use just open the powder end to add the powder to the cylinder/chamber
Then add the empty paper tube & projectile
Used them with my Colt 1861
Really speeds up shooting & cuts down on fumbling with cold hands on a range as all the fiddly work is done at home

To those who have used them, have you ever had paper embers left in the chambers?

nope - all the paper is in front of the powder = any un-burnt is sent out of the muzzlepnuk wrote:To those who have used them, have you ever had paper embers left in the chambers?

I use fag paper - rizla seem best , I have a fag rolling machine and a piece of dowel , I roll the paper into a tube and glue one end with cellulose dope , fill it up , 32 grains of fffg in my case , then glue up the other end . I put them in an old .38 / .357 cartridge box and remove and use as needed . No problems at all.
