I am looking to purchase a .22. Can you suggest one ? and where to buy ? I ws thinking of a second hand gun if its possible to pick one up.

Field and Stream in Moy might be worth a try. He usually has a good selection of 2nd hand CZ/BRNO .22 rifles, if that's the sort of thing you're after.

One thing to be aware of (I didn't know this and neither did quite a few of our club members), if you have a slot for a .22 bolt action rifle and you buy a cheap one just to get you going (like I did) you can't then swap it for another one without applying for either a one for one variation or getting a second .22 added to your ticket. Both of those processes are taking 12 weeks around here!

It's like that here at the minute, but they are changing the system shortly, so that you will be able to do a one on,one off transaction for rifles within certain bands ie. rimfire,centrefire up to .22 calibre, centrefire from .243 up. So apparently you'll only have to apply for a variation if your moving up a band.

They have talked about allowing RFD's to do one for one variations but nothings come of it yet.
