Just bought some brass that is packaged as Relcom, but it looks like starline as the headstamp has two stars separated by a line
what headstamp does Relcom use?
Is it RP? or is that Remington?

Most Relcom 223 etc. is RP stamped as it's produced by Remington Peters. The two stars separated by a line (sometimes 2 lines) def. sounds like Starline and probably is if it's pistol brass.

Relcom seems a generic name for "reloading components" in the hannams catalogue, this is usually Remington Peters but I have had Starline, as you have, as well as Winchester brass from orders under the Relcom list.

Relcom isn't a maker or company - AFAIK it's Hannams own product name. Most 'Relcom' rifle brass is Remington (R-P headstamp) but Starline is found in pistol cartridges or where Remington doesn't do that cartridge. I suspect Hannams buys it in mega bulk lots and packages it in 100s, or has a contract with a US supplier to package it under the Relcom name. Starline is a very large independent case manufacturer and does a lot of contract work for other US companies.

interesting. well I suppose then I can't really go back and moan that I paid a £5 extra as he has to pay more for relcom but this seems to be staline, if its Hannams issue. seems a sly way to charge a little extra for the same product to me....
