I was looking at a bolt action .22lr and found a ISSC SPA .22lr in my local shop. It is a straight pull and looks good and the action is quite unique and easy to use. It also has a straight magazine
Anyone using one of these and what is the general opinion ?
I looked at the Browning T Bolt but it don't feel as slick and you have to use more pressure to close bolt so there is more chance of FTF

Obviously there are not many around, that is why you probably haven't had much of a response.
The paucity of them could be due to poor product representation in the UK, also shooters are a pretty conservative bunch so new things that aren't black and science fiction looking don't make a big impact.
Straight pulls haven't made much of an impact in the 22 single shot market, the Brownings have been around for a long time and are still a small part of the 22 market.
I suppose that the second shot quickness in field doesn't make that much of a difference over the bolt action, Biathlon shooters on the other hand see straight pulls as de rigeur.
My only concern would be about support and parts availability in the event of something going wrong so checking out the importer and speaking with them might not be a bad idea I think Alan Rhone used to have something to do with the gun.
The best would be for you to buy it, put 10,000 rounds through it over the next couple of months and report back, then we would be all the wiser on the gun.

There are a couple of video's on YouTube of people firing them, looks like they have pretty decent accuracy.
