Happy New Year, Safety;

Lantac make a dragon brake that's milled out of t-9091 billet unicorn horn and removes all recoil from a gun.
I think though that it actually puts the recoil into the dimension the unicorn was from so you might want to think twice if your faith dictates a pearly gates encounter.
I think they frown upon people displacing recoil into the realm of fearie.

Ps. You can actually buy the proofing rounds Lantac used.

The Nikonov AN-94 Abakan has a feature that delays and actively reduces the recoil until after the bullet has left the barrel.It also has a rapid two round burst function that was designed to defeat body armour with two pretty much instantaneous hits.
The AEK-971/2/3 family (three calibres, 5.45x39, 7.62x39 and 5.56x45 for export market) designed by S.I. Koksharov features much the same balanced recoil system as the AK-107 and is apparently has better accuracy on full-auto, is lighter and cheaper to produce than the 107.
Small numbers of the AEK family have been issued to MVD (Interior Ministry) troops and and much modified versions are undergoing wider tests as part of the Russian "Ratnik" infantry combat system trials.

And a Happy New Year to you too Chuck
Yes the AN-94 is impressive but very expensive and time consuming to produce.Most of the Russian balanced or reduced recoil systems are based around the concept of rapid and precise shot placement in order to refeat body armour with small arms, if you can put 2-3 rounds of standard issue ammunition in the same place in very quick succession it reduces the requirement for a special purpose large calibre anti body armour round.
