Grrrrrrrr......what is it with gunshops, and also other shops !!!
What is the point of advertising "Contact us " "email address" when they don't bother to reply aaarggh
I have emailed,(and I don't want to phone as I need info in writing) 3 different gunshops on different occasions for info on guns they have for sale and not received replies.
This really

me off.
I will not recommend them to anyone.

How many weeks did you wait for a reply?

Experience has shown me that the reply I send very often do not reach their destination. Junk/Spam filter is the main culprit.

This, I would check your junk/spam folder. I had a very prompt response from Optics Warehouse but it still went to my junk folder even though there were no files or images embedded into the e-mail.

If I am not able to effectively communicate with the shop owner I go somewhere else. If they are not responding prior to the purchase I don't want to imagine the level of support you would receive if something goes wrong after you paid...

Working for a shop myself I'd say be a bit patient a day or two after the Christmas holidays. Most suppliers didn't open up again until yesterday & believe me, most shops will be run off their feet this week, either catching up on orders/back orders (as an example we're waiting on several Ruger precision rifles) or dealing with the rush through the door for those trying to get the last few shoots in before the season ends. We have a dedicated mail order/Enquiry team & it'll still take this week to catch up.

Don't forget that Monday was a bank holiday in Scotland.
Another thing that I have noticed is that mobile phones and tablets have a tendency to eat the attachment...
Not being paranoid here...however it looks to me that anything to do with shooting is black listed in a lot of places, AOL/Hotmail are notorious for rejecting our mails, it is not a matter of checking the junk folder because the email is not there. Gone into thin air

As if on cue....
When new users sign up to this forum they are sent a welcome email that they are asked to reply to...it is mainly to make sure we are letting real people in.
Just went to reply to one and this is the title...

Yes I know about spam files etc and check them out.
Some of these emails were weeks before Christmas as well as after, some were large gun shops and some were small. Some were where I had visited to show interest in a gun(and they know me), they obviously didn't want to take my money.
Fustration rant over, well rant anyway...still frustrated as I cant get the gun I want from a dealer near me.

There are a lot of dealers on here; why not give them a chance.
