Looks like the sort of thing the Chechen rebels were knocking out in the mid-90s, sort of a modernized Obrez.

On the same lines as this much shortened (at both ends) and suppressed Dragunov spotted in the Ukraine, in war needs must I guess.....

I have used them many times and killed many enemies with the Kriss.

Is it my imagination or did having a moderator on there reduce the recoil a bit? I could not see a whole lot of recoil there.

Yep, a moderator reduces recoil.Shooting a fully suppressed 9x39 VSS Vintorez is like shooting a .22lr..........apparently.

Oh indeedy, tovarisch type ooman, it is. We acquired a few in the sandpit, issued them to the point in each patrol for dealing with dogs as we approached villages when we preferred they didn't know we were approaching...
