Somebody left a bag of mixed headstamp 7.62x51 Cases for me at the Club last night. Noticed a couple of them had NO headstamp. It appears that the headstamp had been deliberately milled out. Anybody seen this before? They are Berdan primed.

I have, but I'm plumbing the depths of my memory to remember what they were. I may have some records that could help at home.

I suspect they are RG cases that were loaded commercially, and therefore had the NATO markings removed so that they were clearly not mil-spec, and therefore should not be used in mil actions (or rather, that the manufacturer could not be sued if they were used in mil actions and blew up).

Possibly Gevelot? - I have seen some 30-06 cases like them.
