Hi All,

Picked up a decent ERMA M1 today - pics will follow tomorrow

Quick question for anyone that already owns one....I've got a 10 and a 15 round mag with the rifle, does anyone know where I could get a 20 round mag (or two).

I've looked at I.T.L Shooting Supplies but they only have the 15 round mags (@ £85!!).

I would find a second gun as well as you will need it for spares.

Sold mine a few years ago, wish I hadn't.



Be careful, I once stripped and reassembled it and inadvertently left out the disconnector, OH! what a shock, I immediately replaced it.

Don't think they made 20Rnd Magazines.

As per 25pdr, I believe the highest capacity made were the 15rds. However, the mags were built like brick outhouses.

I had one a few years back, with two 15rd and one 10rd mag IIRC. Enjoyable enough to shoot, and was just getting to need a new cocking handle/link from ITL as the original was chipping like they all do. Had the original rear sight too. In the end the 15rd mags were sold to a chap in France when I got rid of it. Also had the sling and "oil bottle", I seem to remember.

Odd one really, I do sometimes miss it but I think that's a case of rose tinted glasses... it just didn't really do it for me.

Didn't have any problems with it. Was a bit flakey with standard velocity ammo, could have been the aforementioned chipping causing that.

I had one a few years ago and don't remember a 20 Rd mag.As Dromia has suggested I bought a second one to strip for spares after the cocking handle broke on mine got it for 20 quid more than ITL wanted for the part.

I bought one but it was so beat up that I returned it to the dealer unfired - stock was split, the front sight was missing, cocking handle felt like it was lubricated with oil and sand. There is a nice kit available stateside that transforms the Ruger 10/22 to look like the M1 - I opted for that in the end. Quite disappointed really because I'd been after the Erma for years.

Several years earlier I also had the little copy of the 1911 they did.

Chiappa makes this one at the moment.

I had an erma, terrible accuracy, amazing fun. They made a gas operated .22WMR as well if you can find one!

Many thanks for the help. After a few minutes online I realised 15 rounds were the biggest mags.

I've found a chap who has a coule going, but he wants £55 each - I'm a bit tight so I'll think about it for a few days before saying yes

The rifles only for plinking but I'm impressed with how it looks, if it shoots ok then it's a keeper.

I've ordered a US mag pouch and repro gun case for it - thank god for reenactment websites
