Does anyone know of any RFDs in Cardiff now Bales has gone?
Just interested in Cardiff, not Sportsman in Newport or Keens in Bridgend.
Cheers

Thanks for the replys but all a bit to far to make it in my lunch break :-)
Looking more for the city centre areas, but can't find anywhere....
It's a pity that Wales's capital city can't even support one gun shop.

Perhaps cities and gun shops don't really go together Dave. Most gun shops are usually based in more rural or semi-urban areas, that is unless you count the likes of H&H and the Beretta Gallery.
There are a couple of part time RFDs based in and around Cardiff but nothing of any worth in the city centre that I can think of.

Ok ones I know of are
Cwmbran - CS Sporting (also a brand new shop in cwmbran too can't remember the name tho)
Pontypridd - Merlin filed and country (facebook page only at the moment brand new shop I would recommend tho)
Neath - Neath gun shop
One down the road from Keens - south and west country sports
Non that I know of in Cardiff other than bales sadly now gone.

Thanks all.....I know of most of the shops already mentioned. I've even got a part time RFD less than 5 minutes from where I live, but he doesn't really carry the .22RF I'm after (he has the higher end stuff rather than the Blazer, Thunderbolt etc. I tend to use). I just wondered if there were any RFDs hidden away in Cardiff that I could visit in my lunch break - guess not!
As far as cities and gunshops not mixing.....afraid I disagree with you there. I've used many city / large town located RFDs before, Newport Sportsman, Bromgrove Shooting Supplies, someplace in Derby I can't remember the name off. All were useful for ammunition runs in lunch breaks, after work etc.

The Sportsman is hardly the city centre Dave nor is Bromsgrove Shooting supplies both are on the outskirts. In fact with the Sportsman depending on what part of town you are it may even be quicker/closer to pop up to CS sporting in Cwmbran.
I repeat my previous opinion that the day of city centre gun shops seems to be gone as folk find it far more convenient to park outside or close to a gunshop than to carry their wares through the city. Incidentally do you remember Cardiff Shooting Centre (opposite Bute police station) or the gunshop on Cowbridge Road East/West and Target Sports in Victoria street Bristol.
Joe where's the brand new gun shop in Cwmbran, do you have any more details?
You're not thinking about the move by CS Sporting from Croesyceiliog to Ty Coch are you because that was a couple of years ago and the fishing shop in Court Road estate gave up selling guns at around the same time.

No there is a new shop based in Cwmbran called GunshopUK opened up just shy of 2 months ago ish.
I couldn't find a website but they are on Facebook under Gunshop UK.
Apparently they are selling 12G cartrages for £135 / 1000 (7.5 / 28 Gram) which is considerably cheaper than most other places.
A new one is also opened in Pontypridd who I would also consider visiting run by a young man Liam relay nice guy.
Anyway hoped that helped.
