HMR barrel lenght

Hi Guys. I have an Anschutz 1517 HMR with a 14" barrel. Does the shorter barrel effect accuracy? Or just velocity? The CZ 455 I traded in for this (second hand) 1517 was vey accurate, it had a 16" barrel.
The 17 HMR is a very good rabbit round but over 130 yards the accuracy seems to be more 'wayward'
My CZ452 .22 with Wichester 42g subs is brilliant out to 85 ish yards, so I tend to leave the Anschutz in the safe, it's no longer my go to rabbit gun.
What to you guys think? Or is it just me.

Have a CZ 452 in 0.17HMR. 16" barrel. Find it to be a very good "bunny gun". Had not realised the barrel had been shortened until Roger at SYSS looked at it & groaned at the poor crown. He has recut the crown so I am looking forward to even better results. Like the 0.17 as the frangible bullets greatly reduce ricochets, flat trajectory to 100+ yards (provided little or no wind). Downside, the ammo quite expensive @ £13.60+/50 rounds. Roger also worked his magic on the trigger. Now no creep & a crisp let off.
