I like how the range officer at the beginning has his hand on his holstered pistol while others shoot :D

Could be, if hes ex US Military... I used to belong to a "rod and gun club" at a local USAF base, and as it was a military range we had to have USAF RO's. They were always armed in case someone went "postal" on the range.
