You tried the UK distributor Edgar Brothers? Drop them an email & if available your local RFD will be able to order it for you.

Grab yourself some proper 1911 adjustable ones. The dovetail in the slide on the GSG is what's known as a "Novak" cut. Brownells gave them.

Yes thanks, £10 plus delivery for EACH of the front posts, or £24 for the set of five!

It's an adjustable set I'm after, but thanks

Adrian

+1 for this... I put a Novak adjustable on mine... it was "tight " fit, and I actually had to take a fine file to the dovetail to get it to go in.

I have read that the "Kimber" cut is close to the GSG but not much offered compared to the Novak cut. And really, you should use Emory paper on the sight, rather than take active to the dovetail.

I'm starting to fine that everything on 1911's needs to be fitted and nothing is drop in. Ah, the fun of old fashioned guns teanews

They're pretty cheap and cheerful (crap) imo. Ordered some new ones from Brownells UK thanks to the info in this thread.
