Both organisations promote safe shooting, being a member of either has numerous benefits, one of the important ones is insurance for when you are out and about and also for your equipment.

Thanks for the link I gave the whole lot of the vested interest so and so's a cuffing. Not that it will do any good but its nice to get it off your chest.
