Remington rolling block rifle

SELLING ON BEHALF OF A SHOOTER'S WIDOW
A neat old Remington rolling block in .22 short calibre. This is a comparatively rare example having the AMERICAN BOY SCOUT marking on the left of the receiver. These were apparently issued to various college militia groups. Production estimates for this variation range from 1000 to 1400 examples - this one is number 1014.
The rifle shoots well but may be in need of some cosmetic attention depending on whether or not you like your old guns "just as they come". Those more knowledgeable than myself advise that this rifle should sell for £750 or more so that is where I am pitching it. I can supply more photographs on request. please ask any questions you wish and I will try to answer.
