Surely 2016 is the closest we have had yet to a WW111?
Meanwhile the MSM talks about things like 5p plastic bag usage etc.

10/10. The biggest problem is the media aren't independent. There should be laws against what's happened. They're not free to report or campaign on the major issues out there, so the government and banks get away with everything... "We're all doomed!"

The media always has, and always will be printed with a degree of bias one way or the other. If you read a news source you think is unbias, you are being fooled or it agrees with your confirmation bias that all people have.

My gran always used to say, "Believe half of what you see and none of what you read." It's still true today.
The issue I have with the media is they won't cover issues in fear of making things worse or because it doesn't suit someone's agenda. As an example the war on Syria went very quiet months ago, to the point where you could be forgiven for believing it finished months ago... The situation in Greece is dire, but we're told nothing... The migrant crisis still rages on but again we're told very little. It's far better to give media coverage to big brother or some other nonsense.

Agreed, Halodin. Just look closer to home and you see the reporters admit they have buried the Rotherham kiddie fiddlers and things like that through fear or handing the BNP a 'victory'. Or the Germany media blackout about the new year rapes and robberies.

Sometimes you have to use other news sources, I subscribe to Al Jezeera and RT (Russia Today) on YouTube. Yes they both have their agendas but you do get coverage of topics from a different perspective.
Have you seen any coverage of Scottish fishermen's views on Brexit and the EU on the BBC? Did you see any footage of the anti-Clinton demonstrations outside the Democratic Convention by Bernie supporters, I bet you didn't on the main news channels.
You could say RT and Al Jezeera new reports are propaganda but the BBC is not "neutral" and unbiased in what it does and more importantly doesn't report.

Yep, unfortunately it's true... Everything lacks integrity - politicians, the monetary system, the media, the government, the banking system. I'm of the opinion that nothing will be reformed and the only outcome is a financial crash that eclipses the Great Depression. I just hope it doesn't end up in a world war. The way it's going, you can't rule it out, especially considering the bankers finance both sides of a war.

I do exactly the same. The truth is invariably somewhere in between RT and the BBC. People are turning to the alternate media because no one trusts the MSM.

RT and Al Jazeera report a lot of news items regarding the refugee crisis in Germany, the situation in Turkey, Syria and Ukraine etc etc that either the BBC doesn't report at all or just gives a very brief mention to.
A lot of British troop deployments to Poland and other Eastern European countries also tends to go unreported on the BBC and in British papers.
breakingnews.com is also pretty good.....
