Forum rules
Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

Tier One

#1 Post by Sim G »

Got a Tier One (formerly Third Eye Tactical) Spartan moderator on my .223 RPA, 17x1 spigot thread. Want one to go on to my 7mm-08 RPA with the same, 17x1 spigot thread.

Efficient mod, well made and looks good and British as well! So ordered one through my local shop...... Back in February!

There have been numerous calls to Tier One from the shop and I've even spoken to them myself directly. Despite promises, it's never come to fruition....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Just buy a Wildcat Predator, I'm sure I have a spare 17mm spigot bridge lying about so you could get it in a different threading and use it on two rifles by swapping the bridge piece (it just screws in) :)

Initially the Spartan offered the aesthetics I wanted, turns out it's bloody "Unicorn Horn". The Wildcat is just, well Meh... And what's with the pastel colours at the exit hole?!

Likewise, I have a issue where the open slot is for a "7mm moderator" as initially, Tier One stated that the mod would be made calibre specific at 7mm. Even 1-4-1 variations are taking months with my force.

So, I'm looking for a 17x1 spigot threaded, 7mm, reflex moderator....

The Wildcat is plain black, it's the Evolution that has the pretty colours :)

You'll never achieve that with your medication and nurse's propensity to remove sharp objects from you...

I have one of Tier One's Spartab III suppressors and also a 30mm Unimount - I have also owned another unimount. Whilst these are superb products, getting any parts for them from Tier One is all but impossible.

Luckily Osprey Rifles keep all of the parts for Tier One mounts, so these can be swapped about - I've. changed lengths and ring sizes by return mail thanks to Stuart Anselm. Trying to get parts for the suppressor (i.e. an end of barrel mount - should have been in the kit and wasn't) is still outstanding after three years.

It's a shame reading these testimonials, I had absolutely stellar service when ordering a moderator direct last year :(
