I've got a Gehmann 520c adjustable front iris in my Anschutz sight tube - how do I adjust the 520c so that the level bars are level (horizontal)? Can't see anything obvious and no words came with it.

You should have a 'C' spanner that unlocks the locking ring, then in aim or in a vice turn the entire iris to level then lock with the ring & C spanner. Its a pain often to get it tight you have to estimate the out of horizontal so that when you tighten it it comes in flat.
If you dont cant the gun (if you want to shoot long ranged DONT cant any gun) Best is to put a spirit level across the rear sight & horizontal the gun in a vice, and check the foresight to the same horizontal. To help you can take out the iris & put a 6" steel ruler in the element slot & use that as a horizontal surface to set it all up, then put the iris in & horizontal it to the gun.

Thanks, I assumed that was a lock ring but didn't want to force it in case it wasn't!!
