Good morning all,
If you haven't already gathered, my name is Sam and I'm from Harrogate and recently took shooting up as a hobby after years of playing around with my fathers shotguns, various air rifles and shooting in the ATC a few years ago, I also went airsofting for a while but decided plastic pellets weren't for me.
I started shooting at Wakefield rifle and pistol club seven weeks ago and have loved every day I've been since, the members and RO's are really friendly. I soon started searching about shooting in depth and wound up lurking here for a while and found so much useful information, so I decided to make an account and say hello
Just a heads up, I'm prone to asking really stupid questions, and as I will be filling in my application within the month, get ready to take the p***

If you missed the Northern Shooting Show in Harrogate this year, make sure you don't miss it next year. You're lucky to have it right 'on your doorstep' - it's well worth a visit.

Les, I'm assuming the shooting show is at the Yorkshire showground? if so it really is about five minutes from my doorstep, don't know how I missed that one!

Indeed it is. It was its inaugural year this year, so I wasn't expecting too much, but it was excellent, and now that the new exhibition hall is iopen, I think next years show will be even better.

Welcome Sam, Also from Harrogate! There are a few of us who shoot out at Diggle, always a good match once you have your ticket (minirifle, PSG, CSR & Mcqueens)
